HOW TO APPLY
Most volunteer applications will be processed on a semester calendar (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Volunteers will be on-boarded in cohorts by semester. If you are a high need volunteer (MD, DO, DPM, LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, DDS, and DMD). Depending on your specialty, you may be on-boarded as soon as possible.

Apply by the deadline corresponding to the semester in which you would like to start volunteering.
Upcoming applications deadlines:
• Summer 2024 Cohort: March 17, 2024 (start date: early to mid-June)
• Fall 2024 Cohort: June 16, 2024 (start date: early to mid-September)
• Spring 2025 Cohort: September 15, 2025 (start date: early to mid-January) -
SJC departments will review applications to determine if applicants are a good fit. Please note: some departments may reach out for an interview and a meet and greet/tour.

If your application has been accepted, SJC’s Volunteer Program Manager will reach out to you for additional documentation (background check, forms, references, etc.).
• If you’re a medical provider, SJC administrators will begin the initial Credentialing & Privileging process. This process takes about 4-6 weeks. We will also need to submit an FTCA malpractice application on your behalf, which may require additional time to process. -
Complete a general orientation, HIPAA/OSHA training, and EMR training (medical providers only). These can all be done online at your own pace.

Attend in-person training with your relevant department.

Begin volunteering!
