 Volunteering your time and talents

Through the gracious donation of their time and talents, volunteers make it possible for San José Clinic to fulfill its mission. Exceptional volunteer healthcare providers, community volunteers, institutions of higher learning and related organizations work alongside San José Clinic staff to provide an array of services for those who have been excluded from the healthcare system due to their lack of health insurance.

For those who volunteer within these walls, it may be the best job they were never paid to do. In 2007, our dedicated volunteer corps topped 511 persons, contributing 12,931 service hours valued at more than $335,594.

Many other volunteers come to the Clinic by way of student and church groups, community and service organizations, corporations, retirees, and family and friends of Clinic employees. Volunteers generously give their time once a week, once a month or simply for a few hours a day several times a year.
