To support San José Clinic's mission of providing quality healthcare and education to those with limited access to such services, San José Clinic hosts Art with Heart, a unique fundraising event featuring original artwork, including paintings, photography, sculpture and jewelry donated by professional artists and others. Art with Heart 2010
San José Clinic hosted its Art with Heart 2010 event on May 15 at the Intercontinental Hotel Houston chaired by Devinder and Gina Bhatia, drawing over 600 attendees.
The auction included over 100 pieces of artwork, photography, jewelry and sculpture donated by local professional artists. The live auction featured an original painting by Featured Artist, John Ross Palmer, a gourmet dinner in the private wine cellar of the Bhatia’s home, a week’s stay in a private home in San Miquel de Allende Mexico and a custom-designed pearl and gold necklace. Music for the evening was provided by the Brazilian musical group Moodafuraka.
At the event, the Clinic honored Dr. Carolyn Farb and The Charity Guild of Catholic Women as the 2010 Portrait of Compassion honorees. This special designation recognizes an individual or organization displaying extraordinary compassion towards persons who are uninsured and left out of the traditional healthcare system.
All proceeds support San José Clinic’s mission of providing quality healthcare to the uninsured.
