Welcome to San José Clinic

San José Clinic, one of the oldest and most premier charity clinics in the United States, provides primary and specialty medical care, dental, pharmacy and laboratory services to nearly 4,000 uninsured, low-income patients annually. Our goal is to be the healthcare home for the Greater Houston area.

More than 1.1 million, one in every three, persons in the Houston/Harris County area lack health insurance. The demand for low-cost care in this area is consistently greater than available community resources. Primary healthcare for the uninsured is grossly inadequate, and specialty care is almost non-existent. Because of the Clinic's extensive use of volunteer physicians, other community volunteers and teaching affiliations, patients are able to access quality healthcare in a single convenient setting.

JOIN THE LEGACY!

San José Clinic invites donors to Join the Legacy of giving Monsignor Walsh Legacy Circle

The Legacy began in 1922 with a donation of $50 from the Charity Guild of Catholic Women. With a meager budget, San José Clinic was able to open its doors and treat the first patients.

In 2005, to carry on the Msgr. Walsh's legacy, San José Clinic began the Monsignor Walsh Legacy Circle. Traditionally, donors giving gifts of $1,000 or more were acknowledged as Legacy Circle members. Since the campaigns induction, the clinic has raised over $350,000.

This year, we are expanding our circle to incorporate levels of giving, including donations from $250 to$25,000. With the highest level of giving being named Archbishop Fiorenza Legacy Cornerstone after Archbishop Joseph Fiorenza who continues the good work of Monsignor Walsh today.

Please join Archbishop Fiorenza in his efforts to break down the barriers to healthcare. Donate now. Help in building a healthier Houston for tomorrow, today.

Sincerely,

Paule Anne Lewis, Executive Director
